Nydenion Shuttle Miniature Pad by Jacklionheart Nydenion Shuttle Miniature Pad by Jacklionheart
Something from the good old movie miniature days.

I build this 1:72 scale miniature of a shuttle craft for the independent movie Nydenion which we will release soon. [link]

Together with some other film students and model makers, we build a miniature outpost in the same scale including landing pads and nearly 100 handmade trees. The final miniature outpost had a size of almost 3x2 meters and we filmed it using a dolly and a crane. I will post some more photos soon.

*edit* here is a photo from the model "under construction". [link] As you might see it is entirely made from styrene. The lights are standard LED and it has different mountings for motion control photography.

Thank you for watching,
Jack

Extremely well done and arranged. I first thought it's a painting.

Thank you very much. You actually can see it in the independent low budget Sci-Fi feature Nydenion.

I Have always loved this ship and the whole platform, including the hangar and the surrounding!! Have I ever told you I used to draw a VERY similar ship as this one when I was like 10 years old? I have always been amazed at how similar our views and tastes in design was! I would have loved to spend countless hours modeling with all of you over there in Germany! But I was a bit far away!! ;)

Thank you so much Dany. You know that ship's evolution took more than 10 years. I still have old sketches with the first design.
